my wish of good fortune
for you to live long
and be full of life,
to be as happy
as you can be
bearing the weight of
whatever world
is yours to splendor in,
to bring joy to others
whenever possible,
to not fear difference,
of opinion,
or fear love.
and to not fear late nights
studying for finals
or a doctorate in some smarty-pants field,
something you'll casually
get a nobel prize for
later, cause you're awesome
that we can toast over Champagne in Switzerland.
